Ema Clark
Community Governor

Ema has 28 years of experience working in banking, consulting, training and entrepreneurship. For approximately one decade, she worked for various banks including FSB International Bank (now Fidelity bank), Zenith Bank, Intercontinental Bank (now Access Bank) and Bond Bank (now Polaris Bank), where she held roles in branch management, relationship management and in consumer and commercial banking. Over the last 17 years, as the CEO of Theios Consulting now known as Theios People Resources, she has provided HR, organisational behaviour and leadership development solutions to various start-up companies and she has also trained thousands of African professionals who work for top-tier government and private sector organisations across Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa including the NNPC, NPDC, BPE, FMBN, FIRS, GTbank etc. Ema has also facilitated the hiring of hundreds of employees for various organisations through her job recruitment company called Capacity Miners.

As the founder of Learn with Ema Clark, she works closely with mid-to-senior level career professionals, helping them to achieve their aspirations of either becoming entrepreneurs or progressing to the c-suite. She also works as the chief operating officer at LASEM a leading communication and business writing skills company where she supports the business in marketing, designing and delivering training programmes to a wide variety of B2B and B2G clients that include KPMG Nigeria, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Access Bank and the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM)

She has a master’s degree in human resources management and organisations with a specialisation in organisational behaviour. She obtained this from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she studied as a British Chevening Scholar. The British Chevening Scholarship is a Fulbright equivalent grant awarded by the UK Foreign Common Wealth Office to individuals identified as emerging global leaders. Ema also has a post graduate certificate in teaching English to speakers of other languages from the University College London Institute of Education. Her first degree in law is from the Obafemi Awolowo University and her second is from the Nigerian Law School.
